Look what showed up at my house on Friday! Oh glorious day!
I’ve been a blubbery mess ever since. It’s been pathetic, I walk around the house and even run my errands with a book in my hand. It’s like my writer-binky.
I wish I could convey the joy when I walked outside to discover these books waiting for me.
Words fail me. (Okay, you know me better than that.)
The velvety cover feels so soft in between my fingers. It may just be the softest most amazing book I’ve ever held.
I’m sorry but this picture doesn’t do the colors justice. Hot pinks, lime greens, tangerine and purples -seriously, it’s beautiful! (Do I sound like a mother with her newborn baby, or what?)
No one was home when I held my book for the first time. It was a magical moment. I wept and thanked God. With my book in my hands, I opened my Bible and began reading my devotion. It just felt right. God gave me so many promises through this three-year journey. This was the verse that spoke to me as if God was using a megaphone:
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. 2 Cor. 1:20
WooHoo! I’m so happy for you. 🙂
Thanks Mari!!!
SO so so happy for your Joanne! They look BEAUTIFUL!
I know, right? I had no idea I’d fall in love like I have. It’s a beautiful thing. Can’t wait to hold YOURS, Katie!
I’ve never been happier for someone I haven’t met in real life! Beautiful picture, too!

Well, my sweet friend, God came through-on your obedience!!! SOOOO thrilled! LOVE it so far….xoxox
Yippee! When do I get my copy?
Dana, You can get your copy through Barnes & Noble, Amazon, CBD, or bring the family to the book launch party at Santoro’s on June 17th!
Awesome, Friend. That velvety soft book will touch many lives.
I’m so excited, I’m crying too. Tears of joy. I can’t wait to get my hands on your book. You made it irresistable. 🙂
Congrats my friend!!! the first of many, to God be the glory 🙂
Oh my teenage friend, who would have thunk it, huh? YES. To God be ALL the glory. xo
Congratulations!
In answer to your question, yes, when I hug my husband, children, their spouses or a grandchild, I feel I am touching God’s promises of yes to me. Good thought.
Thanks Connie! Yes, I agree…wonderful promises to hold.
Very happy for you, Joanne! May God continue to bless your words and expand your ministry!
Thanks Sue. From your mouth to God’s ears. Praying the same my friend.
I’m thrilled for you, Joanne, and I’m so excited to read this book. I was actually telling some friends of mine about this book while waiting for our third soccer game of the weekend to start the other day. I know, ironic, right?
Heather, that is so funny! When you read my book and what I have to say about soccer, you’ll laugh even harder that you were talking about my book at your “third” game. (I actually LOVE the sport myself. My husband on the other hand…)
Congratulations! I’m so happy for you!
Thanks Erica!!!
Thanks Erica! (me too)
Adorable! You and the cover. Love the “writer binky.”
Thanks Christa!
What a welcome surprise, friend!!! I know you’re beside yourself with emotion. I quickly went to amazon. Apparently “out of stock.” Where else can I get a couple of copies? I’ll go google around. So excited for you. Seems just like yesterday when I read some of your initial words on the topic. What an honor to call you friend.
peace`elaine
Joanne,
I am so happy for you! God blesses those who bless others, and I know you are a blessing to the people around you with your encouragement and kindness. Your book is beautiful…just like you:)
Thank you Charlotte. xo
Joanne you make me smile! I am so happy for you! Can’t wait to get a copy into my hands too. The whole publishing process is so much like birthing a baby and there is nothing like holding your “newborn” for the first time. God’s promises certainly can look like a non-fiction book! Praying Just Too Busy becomes a bestseller and blesses many women.
Thanks so much Saundra. May the Lord honor every word from your lips. Thank you friend.
Well, it took me a bit to scroll ALL the way down here, but Congratulations!!! How exciting! I can almost feel yours! I’m going to have to get me one of those pretty colorful books!
🙂
Thanks Kathy. I appreciate the extra scrolling-effort on your part! haha
Oh Joanne! I can JUST IMAGINE the excitement coursing through you as this birthed baby was held in your hands! I LOVE what GOD HAS DONE!!!! He is AMAZING!!!
I am sick today but inside I am overjoyed!!! I knew God would use your pen. You are gifted and called by the King. Thank you for modeling what saying “yes” looks like. Love you
