Today is a day that will go down in Kraft family infamy. It’s official. My book has been released, launched, shot out to the masses.
Yeah, I think BIG.
I woke up this morning and thoughts of blog-tours, book launch parties, and a cross-country book-tour/MOPS conference danced in my head. I had to email my publisher about a couple things, and my son Samuel ran into the office.
“Mom, you need to come back to the bedroom.”
“Why?” I was engrossed in my email.
“Dad just said you had to.” Samuel said over his shoulder, running down the hallway and back towards our master bedroom.
When I walked into the room, there was my husband and my three youngest with big smiles on their faces. “Congratulations Mom!” Each one shouted.
There were flowers and a precious card that each one signed. Yeah, I cried.
A few hours later, my Dad and stepmom were at the house bearing gifts; balloons, a teddy bear, a delicious smelling vanilla candle and the most beautiful diamond cross necklace I’ve ever seen. (For those of you reading my book, you’ll understand how special this gift is when you read chapter eight!)
“We just had to stop by! This is such a big day, honey. We are so proud of you and know God is going to do great things with this book.”
From your mouth to God’s ears. I thought to myself.
Truly blessed, yep this day will forever be imprinted on my heart. And, apparently, the festivities aren’t over just yet. Someone might just be celebrating at Ruth’s Chris steak house with an extremely handsome middle-aged man.
Congratulations on your Release Day, Joanne!!! I’m soooo happy for you.
Thanks Keli! Not much longer and you will be experiencing your BIG DAY. Can’t wait to toot your horn!
WooHoo! I’m so happy for you! I love what your family did too. Big smiles in Michigan!

Congrats! If I was a bit closer I’d stop by with some delicious baklava 🙂
Best of luck on your journey.
Joanne, I’m so excited about your book that I could just bust at the seams. But, you know what choked me up? The cross necklace.
You are so loved sweet friend. Enjoy every minute of it!
Cheering your launch from God’s majestic, awesome creation in Bryce Canyon, Utah!
Joanne,
I’m so thrilled for you. Girl, I received my copy this afternoon. I can’t wait to get into it. Hugging you. Lynn
Hi Joanne– so I’m getting on the CONGRATS bandwagon WAAAY late but CONGRATS!! And your family is soooo sweet!
Ok so I read it in two late nights straight! Here’s my congratulations to you! Perseverance and prayer has had the victory! This book is going to impact our generation BIG TIME not to mention the lasting fruit that will be seen in generations to come. Amazing message to all to slow down and re-evaluate. Joanne, you opened up your life to your readers (a lot of it I got to wittiness first hand) in an honest, approachable, humorous way while exhorting them to take a close look at life as it is and begin the process of refining. It truly is a, “Seek first HIS kingdom…” (Matthew 6:33) book. I am so excited for you!
