Last year on New Years Eve, my girlfriend and I commiserated over our disgust in our ‘captivity of activity’. This conversation was the spark needed for what became a year long family experiment. Our ‘Radical Sabbatical’ had begun. All of 2007, our family went on a journey together. We cut out all outside activities to make time for things like, well, being a family.
The Christian writers website ‘Writer Interrupted’ will be posting a two part story of our year long journey on Friday and Saturday this week.
I pray not only that you will be blessed, but that it may encourage others to do something as crazy as taking a ‘Radical Sabbatical’ for themselves.
