WELCOME CANADIAN MOMS!
When it comes to raising great kids, I think we all underestimate our ability.
Us moms are incredibly hard on ourselves. Our eyes wander to the “perfect” parents we see on Facebook or God forbid, Pinterest. Perfectly perfect moms in photos with adorable smiling kids. Our minds wander and wonder, Am I the only mom who is raising kids and has no clue how to do this any better?
We say yes to a child’s desires and do a million more things for our children to make life easy on them. All in the hopes of making childhood this magical wonderland. But, once puberty hits, we wonder why our kids show signs of entitlement or disrespect and a lackluster desire to work at all.
We want more than anything to raise independent, hard-working, God-honoring kids, yet we steal the very opportunities to do just that–sometimes without even knowing it.
Let me be very clear here, great kids aren’t perfect kids.
Great kids are kids who respect their parents and teachers, understand that working hard is a real thing, and own their failures most of the time.
