It’s official – the Christmas season has begun. Paul and I were out and about yesterday afternoon. We refrained from buying the incredible movie theater seats we saw, and I kept my hands to myself when I walked into William Sonoma and Pottery Barn. Unless you count the free samples of Peppermint Bark I enjoyed.
Sure, it was Black Friday and yes, it’s one of the busiest shopping days of the year, but it’s easy to fall into the trap of buying stuff and wanting more stuff for under the tree.
My question is this: How do you show your kids, your friends and your family that Jesus is the reason for this season? What do you do to express your love for Him? How do you adore Him in December?
There’s no better place to find peace this Christmas than by keeping the Prince of Peace front and center.
How do you do it? I’d love to know. Comment below or share this question on your Facebook page to hear what your friends have to say.

My shopping on Black Friday yesterday consisted of picking up the remaining pieces of the breakfast we are making and serving to our homeless folks this month. This morning, we’re off to prepare biscuits and gravy plus scrambled eggs and O’Brien potatoes and plenty of fruit for breakfast. We’ll serve between 170 and 200+ folks this morning. We are so blessed to be able to do this for them. Every Saturday they get a hot home cooked meal and a warm place to enjoy it. We know we serve a compassionate God who would have us be His hands and feet.
I LOVE this Katie. Will you be at the Upper Room or Green Valley Church today? How blessed these folks are to have you loving on them with the best food in El Dorado County!
