How are you doing with your devotion time? Are you learning about Jesus as a family? Prayers at night are a sweet time, but I’m talking about sitting with your child and actually talking about Jesus together.
If you’re having a difficult time–I have something very cool that will lend you a hand. Which means you’re going to love me alot.
I used to think I needed to be an ordained priest or have a seminary degree to crack open a Bible and teach my children. This is such a lie. I pray you’re alot smarter than I was–don’t believe it.
Moses shared this verse with his people. These words were preserved for our spiritual welfare, too. This is not a suggestion—it’s a command I take seriously.
It doesn’t say, “Teach them only if you’ve read through the Bible forty-seven times.” Or, “Only share their spiritual heritage if you can spell Ecclesiastes.”
Teach your children the Word diligently. Talk about them…and not just at church. It says talk about God’s word at HOME.
I’m not a mom anymore who leaves teaching my children up to the church. I’m a spiritual-homeschooler, if you will. I want my kids to have memories of me telling them all about Jesus–not just their youth group leader.
Now, here’s that cool APP I was telling you about. It helps moms make a point to start out days with a story, a scripture, or an encouraging word about our faith. But, sometimes it’s just nice to follow a simple plan. The E3 Challenge is just that plan.
I’ve included a video that lets this very sweet mom and dad explain how they’ve used this APP at home with their kids.
After you download the FREE APP make sure to subscribe to the weekly email. This will register you to receive useful updates and resources along the way.
This APP isn’t just for parents. It was created with “small groups” in mind. So, take this opportunity to begin the E3 Challenge at your work, school, or weekly coffee date with your girlfriend!
What if you don’t know your Bible?
I didn’t grow up knowing much about the stories in the Bible or who Jesus is and why He matters to me. By the time my father became a Christian I was a teenager and didn’t give a hoot. But, once Jesus and I began a relationship and I was older and …ahem...much wiser…I couldn’t wait to do things differently with my children.
As a mom, nothing excites me more than thinking about reaching the next generation and the next and the next. I do this by teaching my children and this APP helps me with its 120 stories about Jesus, video tutorials and questions included that help me do just that.
I want them to desire Jesus in their life. That doesn’t begin and end on Sundays. It’s my job as their mom to pour into them all week long and for Sunday to be an added bonus, not the whole enchilada.
Okay, if you’ve read this far you don’t have anymore excuses! Download this FREE APP and take the E3 Challenge.
I double-dog-dare-you.
(I’m pretty sure you have to download it right this second-that’s the rules of a double-dog-dare. Or, maybe it’s playground rules…or prison rules? Doesn’t matter –you’re going to LOVE it!)
