Last Sunday, I excitedly perused the church bulletin with all of the small group studies for this year. Grabbing my pen, I began circling one after another.
“What are you doing?” Paul leaned over and whispered.
“Filing my nails. What does it look like I’m doing?” I whispered back.
“Pick one.” He said, loud enough for the nosy lady in front to lean back for a better listen.
“One? Awww, cmon Paul.” The worship music was nearing it’s end. “Does the marriage study we’re leading in our home count…it better not.” I mumbled.
Oh yes, it’s that time. Time to figure out which Bible studies you plan on being a part of this year.
Was that a yawn? For goodness sakes, really?!
Then maybe you haven’t been in the right study for you. I enjoy me some Beth Moore and Kay Arthur like the rest of us gals.
But, for those who don’t (Bible study blasphemy, forgive me.) there are lots of other amazing Bible studies out there you can do too.
How about investing a couple of dollars in some homegrown Bible study authors from our very own blog family?
Or what about…
Which ones am I doing? We are hosting a Love & Respect marriage study in our home on Monday nights. And, when we dropped off the pastor’s son from a play date at church on Sunday afternoon…surprise, surprise, Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University study was just beginning.
Looks like I’m going to get a University diploma after all.
