What’s Your True Identity?

Hey friends,

I’m packing my bags and heading out to encourage women at The Better Together Conference. I’ll be on my plane to Jacksonville in a few short hours. Meanwhile, there’ s still a few hours to put some finishing touches on my workshops and pick up my son from football try-outs and make sure my husband has enough tea in the fridge.

There’s a little something I’ll be sharing with some of the gals in my classes that I thought might be helpful to you, too. A reminder of who we are in Jesus.

Yep, we have promises to lay hold of that are easily forgotten (by me, too). I’ve included a few of them below. Read them, meditate on them and remember you are the daughter of the One true God.

My Identity in Christ

I am loved, accepted, treasured!

  • I am God’s Child. John 1:12
  • I am loved for all eternity. Jer. 31:3
  • I am Christ’s friend. John 15:15
  • I am forgiven of all my sins. 1Peter 4:8
  • I am a member of Christ’s body. 1Cor. 2:27
  • I am a saint. Ephesians 1:1
  • I’ve been adopted as God’s child. Eph. 1:5
  • I am surrounded by God’s love.  Ps. 32:10
  • I have direct access to God. Eph. 2:18
  • I’m redeemed and forgiven. Col. 1:14
  • I am complete in Christ. Col. 2:10

I am safe, secure, protected!

  • I am declared not guilty. Romans 8:1-2
  • I am secure in Christ’s love. Psalm 122:6
  • I am protected by God. Prov. 29:25
  • I’m assured all things work together for good. Romans 8:28
  • I cannot be separated from God’s love. Rom. 8:35
  • I am God’s temple. 1Cor. 3:16
  • I am God’s masterpiece. Ephesians 2:10
  • I’ve a meaningful purpose. Jeremiah 29:11
  • I am not afraid. 1John 4:18
  • I’ve been given a spirit of power and love, not fear. 2Timothy 1:7
  • I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:14

{Melinda} How many problems and painful experiences and choices I could have avoided simply by claiming my identity in Christ! Your workshop at BT that I went to was SO good. God has clearly given you a message and such power and words to communicate it.

Can’t wait to see you again next month! 😉
