Having a tough time feeling thankful? Is your “gratitude journal” filled with blank pages for 2013?
I’ve had a few years like that myself.
Now, when I’m feeling down or discouraged I turn on worship music. It’s impossible for me to stay in a hurting place when songs of praise to my God and King permeate our home.
Scripture tells us that when we praise the name of God in song we magnify Him with THANKSGIVING.
Multiply the praise and you multiply thanksgiving!
So, dear friend, if you’re not able to muster up any feeling of thankfulness this year, I double-dog-dare you to hit “play” on the song below. It’s a favorite of mine and worthy of a few thankful thoughts and prayers.
Don’t be discouraged this week. If your words fall short, praise Him in song. That thankful heart of yours can be discovered again. Let Him uncover it in His strength once more.
