Every once in awhile, when I open my email I discover something pretty cool. Most often, I want to throw up over the fact that there’s 3,812 bits of correspondence awaiting my attention.
Sure, most are junk emails sent from unknown faces, but like I said, every once in awhile I receive an email from a living breathing human being and it makes my day.
Last week I had one of those days.
Family Life Today is celebrating their 25 year anniversary on the air. To include all of us listeners in on the fun, they’ve put together the “Best of ” shows over the years.
Guess what?
They’ve stitched a tiny bit of yours truly into the fabric of dozens of other mom-authors sharing bits of wisdom.
These shows honoring MOM will air on May 11th and 12th.
I’ve been so blessed to be a guest on their show for both of my books. I was on the air two days for Just Too Busy and they aired my interviews for three days when The Mean Mom’s Guide to Raising Great Kids came out.
First visit to Family Life Today – 2012
2012 – The kids are so little! Our youngest is now over six feet tall!
The ministry at Family Life Today in Little Rock are some of the sweetest folks you’d ever want to meet. I raised my kids while listening to their radio show. Theirs and Focus on the Family air on the radio back to back and I still find myself tuning in. Dennis Rainey & Bob Lepine are such incredibly kind and funny guys. I could sit and chat with them for hours –and I have.

I’ll be receiving an MP3 of the shows and will be sharing next week. I’m looking forward to hear which sound byte they use. Like I always tell them, “Edit however you need to. All I ask is that you make me sound smart and skinny.”
I think I need to get busy on that next book. I miss these folks and need a good excuse to visit again. Plus, our oldest now lives in Arkansas so there’s TWO good reasons to stop by Family Life and hang out awhile.
