There are days Paul and I drive along country roads and exclaim, “We get to live here.”
Sometimes it’s a question exhaled in a blanket of gratefulness, “We get to live here?” Still amazed at what the Lord is doing with our lives and in the lives of our children here in Tennessee.
I wonder to myself so often , What if we’d ignored God? What if we’d never listened when He asked us to follow Him here?
There’s a kaleidoscope of blessings in one act of obedience.
These days most of us are stuck in a continual pattern of worry and wait and wait and worry, before we ever take a step of faith. I know there is a pause we must take while we listen for Him, but there comes a time to walk forward without fear. Either we believe He has us in the palm of His hand or we don’t. Which camp do you fall into?
You can’t half-trust the Lord. You either trust Him or you don’t.
God expects us to trust Him. This is so much easier to do when we understand He loves us. When we struggle with His love for us, we struggle with our trust of Him.
He reminds us to trust Him with all our hearts. That means with no strings attached. Lord, I’ll do this if you do that. What amazing moments are you missing out on because you aren’t trusting and obeying? Who knows, you might end up on a country drive in Tennessee with me.
Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. Proverbs 3:5
