When was the last time you laughed or even cracked a spontaneous smile? Tickling your funny bone is a wonderful way to stay encouraged this holiday season. Now, without further adieu–my TRUE feelings about Santa in November. – May you be encouraged!
Santa is a bully. Don’t believe me? Just ask Tom Turkey. He’ll tell ya. The moment Thanksgiving takes his rightful place on stage, Santa busts in on the act.
According to the four seasons rule-book, the Fall season begins on or around September 22nd and ends on or around December 22nd.
Thanksgiving has already graciously given up over three weeks of Fall time to this holiday-dictator. But, apparently that’s not enough. Black Friday has now become Black November. Christmas music in December that once put me in a jolly mood is now heard in September and has the reverse affect.
I’m starting to dislike Mr. Jolly Ol’ Fall-hater.
Those of us who love the changing of the leaves must bite our tongues as we shop for our scented pumpkin candles and Butterball turkey, all the while, being serenaded by Christmas music before it’s time.
In September, no one shopping at the Dollar Store should have to consider if it’s beginning look a lot like Christmas everywhere we go.
On December 25th, at my house, when up on our housetop reindeer pause and out jumps good ol’ Santa Claus…he’s going to get a swift kick in the shins from me.
So I guess you’ll be thrilled to know we’re pulling the tree out of the attic today?
You already heard what I had to say about that. 😉 You get some grace because you’re going to be gone for Thanksgiving. I’m nice like that.
You tell ’em, Joanne. Appropriately kicked to the curb.
Thanks friend!
