A grateful heart comes from a thankful heart.(Tweet this.)
For years, this has been a favorite song of mine this time of year. I only listen to it in the fall. It soothes my soul and brings peace to my heart. A prayer set to a soft melody. I played it over and over while preparing this post for you.
Friends, hit play and drink it in. I’ve included some precious Bible verses to read along with it. Then, take a minute and include what you’re grateful for today in the comments below.
As for me? I’m grateful today for you.
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the adversary And gathered from the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south. -Psalms 107:1-3
Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe. -Hebrews 12:28
Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. -Colossians 2:6-7
Thank you for sharing this, Joanne. I had never heard it. I took your advice and just closed my eyes, drinking it in. What a lovely morning, quiet-time, devotional song. Tender and soothing. I am grateful that God has afforded me this season in my life. Blessings.
Definitely a favorite fall song of mine, Katie. Makes me smile knowing that even though we’re not worshiping at the same church in CA, we’re still worshiping Him together!
Loved this beautiful song and video. It was a nice way to start a Sunday morning!
Thanks Linda – I know it touches me so. Thrilled it blessed you, too.
